Titanova Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Titanova (“the app”), made by Kokdemir Labs (“we”, “us”), handles your information. It covers Titanova on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.

The short version

No account. You never sign up or log in. We have no servers that store what you write in Titanova.
Your content is yours. Your areas, goals, habits, tasks and everything else you create stay on your devices and sync through your own private iCloud database. We cannot see or access it.
The Assistant runs on your device. It uses Apple’s on-device model. What you ask and what it reads are not sent to us or to any AI service.
Apple Health stays on your devices. Titanova only reads Health data and never writes to it. What it reads stays on the iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch that read it, and your iPhone may send a summary to your paired Apple Watch over the direct connection between them. It is never synced to iCloud and never shared.
Calendar and Reminders stay in their apps. Titanova shows your events and can change them only when you do it in Titanova. It reads Reminders and never changes them.
Purchases go through Apple and Adapty. To sell and restore Titanova Pro we use Adapty, a subscription service. It receives your purchase history and an anonymous identifier, never your content.
No ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics, and we never sell your data.

Your content: on your devices and in your iCloud

Titanova stores what you create in a database on your device. If iCloud is turned on for Titanova, the database syncs between your devices through the private database of your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). Only you, signed in with your Apple Account, can reach it. We have no access to it, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else. Apple stores this data under the Apple Privacy Policy and it counts toward your iCloud storage.

The text you write, such as titles, notes, names and the places of location reminders, is stored with CloudKit’s encrypted fields, which are end-to-end encrypted with keys from your iCloud Keychain. Photos, files and pictures are stored as files in your iCloud. Apple encrypts them on its servers, but they are not end-to-end encrypted like your text.

This includes:

areas, visions, goals, subgoals, projects, tasks, subtasks, sections, tags and your lists;
pictures for your areas: covers, icons and vision board pictures (see below);
how your tasks repeat, and the repeats you completed;
time blocks you plan in the calendar view;
photos and files you attach to tasks (see below);
habits, their schedules and every check-in, amount, time or note you log yourself;
goal measures and the progress you log, including units you create yourself;
goals, habits and tasks you add from Titanova’s built-in templates (the templates themselves ship inside the app), and templates you save from your own goals;
weekly reviews and the reflection notes you write;
focus sessions;
reminder settings for your items (times, not the notifications themselves) and, for a location reminder, the place you chose (its name, coordinates and radius);
tasks that mirror your Reminders lists, if you turn mirroring on (see below);
the name you want Titanova to greet you with, if you enter one;
settings that should be the same on all your devices, such as week start, the weekly review day, and date and number formats;
items in Trash (kept for 30 days, then deleted permanently).

If iCloud is off for Titanova, or you are not signed in to iCloud, everything stays on that device only and the app still works fully on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Titanova on Apple Watch gets your data from your iCloud, so it needs iCloud on your iPhone.

Data that never leaves the device

Some data belongs to one device and is not synced:

device settings such as app lock, the app passcode (kept in the device’s keychain), sound and haptics, Hide Content in Widgets and Notifications, and whether the Assistant is on;
what Titanova read from Apple Health on this device (see below);
which calendars the calendar view shows;
for Reminders mirroring: the lists you picked and which reminder belongs to which task;
how many Assistant questions you asked, for the free plan’s daily limit;
a question you shared to the Assistant from another app, until Titanova opens it (at most one day);
which in-app tips and tours you have already seen;
sync status and error history shown in Settings › iCloud Sync;
the app’s database in its shared storage on this device, which widgets, Controls, Live Activities and Siri open to show your items, without changing it;
the Spotlight index of your item titles (see below);
safety backups: before a restore or an import, Titanova saves a copy of your data in the app’s own storage on this device (the last five are kept), so you can go back;
performance and crash reports from Apple’s MetricKit, kept on the device (at most 10 files) and never sent anywhere;
a record of which reminders you already imported, stored as one-way hashes, so an import does not create duplicates;
your last known Titanova Pro status, so the app works offline;
on Apple Watch: the Today summary your iPhone sent, changes from the watch that have not reached your iPhone yet, and your watch’s focus settings.

Your Assistant conversation is not stored at all. It stays in the app’s memory until you start a new chat or quit the app.

Apple Health

Only if you connect a habit or goal to Apple Health, Titanova asks for permission to read the types you choose, for example steps, workouts, sleep, water, mindful minutes, body measurements, heart and other vitals, or nutrition. You can grant or deny each type separately.

Read only. Titanova never writes anything to Apple Health.
Kept on your devices only. Titanova keeps the daily values it read in its own storage on the iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch that read them, so habits can check themselves off and goals can show progress, also in widgets, on your watch face and when you ask Siri. They are refreshed from Health and removed when you delete the app.
Apple Watch reads its own Health data. If your habits or goals use Apple Health, Titanova on your Apple Watch asks once for permission to read those types, and then reads them on the watch.
From iPhone to Apple Watch. Your iPhone sends your paired Apple Watch a summary of Today, which can include whether a Health habit is done and a Health goal’s current value. It goes over the direct connection between your iPhone and your watch (Apple’s WatchConnectivity), not through iCloud and not to us.
Not synced. No Health value, and nothing calculated from one (such as “done today” or a streak based on Health), is written to iCloud or to a backup file. Each iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch reads its own Health data.
Not shared. Health data is never sent to us, to Adapty or to any other third party, and is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining.

What does sync is only what you set up yourself: that a habit or goal uses Apple Health as its source, which type, and the target you chose (for example “8,000 steps”). Values you type in by hand, such as a weight you log yourself, are your own content and sync like everything else.

Titanova on Mac does not use Apple Health. A habit connected to Health shows “Tracked on iPhone” there.

You can change or revoke access at any time in the Health app or in your device’s Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Titanova.

Assistant

Titanova’s Assistant answers your questions about your goals, habits and tasks in a chat, suggests tasks for your day and a length for a task, writes a short summary of your week, proposes a plan for a goal, and fills in a date, time or length that Quick Add could not read. The chat is on iPhone and iPad. The suggestions, summaries and plans are also on Mac. Apple Watch has no Assistant.

On your device. The Assistant uses Apple’s on-device language model, on a device where Apple Intelligence is turned on. Your content is processed on your device. Titanova uses no Private Cloud Compute and no outside AI service, and the Assistant sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
Languages. The chat works when Titanova is in English, Turkish, German, French or Spanish. The model writes summaries, plans and other suggestions only when Titanova is in English; in the other languages these come from Titanova’s own rules. Where the chat cannot work, on a device without Apple Intelligence or in another language, Titanova shows no Assistant tab.
What the model sees. The titles of your goals, habits and tasks, with their status, days, priority, length, progress, streaks and repeats; what you type or say in the chat, and the earlier messages of the same chat; and the line you type in Quick Add. It does not see notes, attachments, pictures, locations, calendar events or the reflection notes you write.
Apple Health. Progress and streaks that come from Apple Health can be part of what the model sees. They stay on your device, as all Health values do.
Microphone (iPhone and iPad). When you tap the microphone in the chat, Titanova turns what you say into text with Apple’s speech recognition on your device. The audio is not kept and is never sent to us. You see the text and can change it before you send it.
Camera and photos (iPhone and iPad). You can take a photo or choose one to turn a note into tasks. Titanova asks for camera access the first time you tap Take Photo. Titanova reads the photo’s text on your device with Apple’s Vision framework. The photo is not kept; only the text goes into the chat field, and you decide whether to send it. You pick photos with Apple’s photo picker, so Titanova receives only the photo you choose.
From other apps. With Ask Assistant in the share sheet, Siri or Shortcuts, the text you share opens in the chat field. Nothing is sent until you send it in the chat.
What is kept. Titanova does not store the chat or the model’s answers. A suggestion changes your data only when you tap to add or accept it; then it is part of your content and can be undone.
Without the model. On a device without Apple Intelligence, Titanova makes suggestions with its own rules, also on your device. The chat needs the model.
Turning it off. On iPhone and iPad, you can turn the model off in Settings › Assistant › Use Assistant. Titanova then uses only its own rules on that device.

Calendar

Titanova can show the events from the calendars on your device next to your tasks: in Today’s calendar view, in the agenda widget, and in alerts before events if you turn them on. Titanova asks for Calendar access only when you first open the calendar view, or when you turn on alerts in Settings › Notifications › Before Events.

Read on your device. Events are read from Calendar on your device. They are never copied into Titanova’s database, iCloud sync or backup files, and Titanova never sends them to us.
Changed only by you. When you create, change, move or delete an event in Titanova, Titanova saves the change directly to Calendar. Calendar then syncs it with the account that the calendar belongs to, as it does for any change.
Which calendars to show is a setting on each device.
Time blocks are Titanova content, not calendar events. They sync through your iCloud with your other content.

You can change Calendar access at any time in your device’s Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars (on Mac: System Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars).

Pictures: covers, icons and vision boards

You can give an area a cover, a picture as its icon, and up to nine vision board pictures.

Photos. You pick photos with Apple’s photo picker. Titanova receives only the photos you select and has no access to the rest of your library. Before saving, Titanova removes the photo’s metadata, including where it was taken, and makes it smaller (at most 2,048 pixels on the longest side).
Image Playground. On devices with Apple Intelligence, you can create a picture with Apple’s Image Playground. Titanova starts it with the area’s name, or with the area’s vision for a vision board picture. Image Playground is Apple’s feature and runs under Apple’s terms; Titanova receives only the finished picture.
Stored and synced. Pictures are part of your content. They sync through your iCloud and are included in backup files. Apple encrypts them on its servers, but they are not end-to-end encrypted. When an area is deleted permanently, its pictures are deleted too.

Attachments

With Titanova Pro you can attach photos and files to a task. You pick them with Apple’s photo picker or the Files picker. Titanova receives only what you pick and has no access to the rest of your photo library or files. Each file is saved as you picked it, so a photo keeps its own details, such as where it was taken. Attachments are part of your content: they sync through your iCloud with the task. Apple encrypts them on its servers, but they are not end-to-end encrypted. When a task is deleted permanently, its attachments are deleted too.

Apple Watch

Titanova on Apple Watch keeps its own copy of your data and syncs it through your iCloud, like your other devices. Your iPhone and your watch also talk over the direct connection between them (Apple’s WatchConnectivity): the iPhone sends a summary of Today and your Titanova Pro status, and the watch sends the changes you make on it, such as a habit you checked off. Nothing of this goes to us.

When you add a task on the watch, you type or dictate it with Apple’s own keyboard and dictation. Titanova receives only the text. If you turn on Hide Content in Widgets and Notifications on your iPhone, your watch face hides titles too.

Reminders. Titanova only reads Reminders and never changes or deletes anything in it. There are two ways to use it:

Import from Reminders (Settings › Integrations › Import from Reminders) reads the lists you choose, once, and creates Titanova tasks from them.
Mirror Reminders (Settings › Integrations › Mirror Reminders) keeps reading the lists you pick. Their reminders show up as Titanova tasks and follow the changes you make in Reminders. If you edit a mirrored task in Titanova, it stops following its reminder; Reminders is not changed. When a reminder is deleted, its task moves to Trash, unless you added details to it in Titanova.

The tasks are then your Titanova content and sync like any other task. You can change Reminders access at any time in your device’s Settings › Privacy & Security › Reminders (on Mac: System Settings › Privacy & Security › Reminders).

Share sheet. When you share a web page, text or a link to Titanova from another app, the shared title, text or link becomes one or more tasks on your device and then syncs like any other task. With Ask Assistant, it opens in the Assistant’s chat instead (see above). Nothing is sent to us.

Backups and exports. Export & Back Up creates a backup file or spreadsheet (CSV) files on your device. You choose where to save them, for example in Files or iCloud Drive; after that they are under your control. A backup file contains your attachments and your area pictures. Backup files do not contain Health values or calendar events. The safety backups Titanova keeps on the device record only the names and sizes of attachments and pictures.

Imports and restores. When you import a file, such as a Titanova spreadsheet or a file from another app, or restore a backup, Titanova reads the file you pick on your device. Nothing is uploaded to us.

Location reminders

On iPhone and iPad, you can set a reminder for when you arrive at or leave a place. Titanova asks for location access “While Using the App” to find the place, and “Always” so the reminder can ring while Titanova is closed. The place you chose is handed to iOS, and iOS alerts you when you arrive or leave. Titanova does not track your location, does not keep a location history, and never sends your location to us or anyone else. The place itself (its name, coordinates and radius) is part of your content and syncs through your iCloud. Titanova on Mac does not ask for location access.

You can change location access at any time in your device’s Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.

Notifications, widgets, Siri and other system features

Notifications and alarms are scheduled on your device. Titanova has no push server. A reminder you set to ring as an alarm uses Apple’s AlarmKit, also on your device. iCloud may send your devices silent notifications to sync changes; these come from Apple and carry no content from us.
Widgets, Controls, Live Activities and the Mac menu bar (such as a running focus timer on the Lock Screen) show your items from the app’s database on your device.
Siri and Shortcuts can run Titanova’s actions. Your request is handled by Apple’s systems under Apple’s privacy policy; Titanova answers it on your device.
Spotlight indexes the titles of your items on your device so you can search for them.
Handoff passes a link to the page you are viewing between your own devices through Apple. The link carries no title and nothing you wrote.
Hide Content in Widgets and Notifications (Settings › Privacy & Security) replaces titles with counts in widgets and with generic text in notifications, including alerts before events, hides titles on your Apple Watch face, and stops adding your items to Spotlight.
Drag and drop. When you drag a task into another app, that app receives the task’s title, or a calendar file when you drop it into Calendar. Nothing is sent to us.
App lock uses Face ID, Touch ID, your device passcode or a passcode only for Titanova, through Apple’s system. Titanova never receives biometric data.
Dictation in Quick Add and in the Assistant’s chat uses the microphone and Apple’s speech recognition on your device. What you say is turned into text on the device; the audio is not kept and is never sent to us. The first time, your device may download Apple’s speech model for your language.

Titanova Pro, purchases and Adapty

Titanova is free to use with limits. Titanova Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple processes all payments; we never see your payment details.

To show plans, check whether you have Pro, restore purchases and understand how purchases perform, Titanova uses Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.). Adapty receives:

Purchase history: which Titanova Pro product you bought, when, the price and currency, trial or offer status, renewal status and Apple’s transaction identifiers. Apple may also send Adapty notifications about renewals, cancellations and refunds for these purchases.
Identifiers: a random profile ID that Adapty creates for your installation, and technical device identifiers that the Adapty SDK uses to recognize that installation. We do not give Adapty a user ID, name or email. Adapty’s collection of the advertising identifier (IDFA) and of your IP address is turned off, and Adapty Attribution is not enabled.
Purchase screen activity: which plans screen was shown and from where (for example Settings or a locked feature), and which version of the screen it was.
Technical details needed to process purchases, such as app version, OS version, device model, language, time zone and App Store country.

Adapty never receives your content, your Health data, your Assistant questions, the answers you give during setup or anything you write in the app. This data is used only to provide purchases and to measure how the plans screen performs. It is not used for advertising and is not combined with data from other companies’ apps or websites. Adapty processes it on our behalf, including possibly in the United States; see the Adapty Privacy Policy.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Titanova contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or crash-reporting service.
Titanova does not track you, does not use the advertising identifier and never asks for tracking permission.
We never sell or share your personal data for advertising.
Apple gives us aggregated App Store statistics and crash reports only if you agreed to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings. These do not identify you.

The titanova.app website

This website, titanova.app, is hosted by Cloudflare. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies or local storage and does not track you across websites; it gives us totals such as page views, referring sites and countries. Cloudflare handles the technical data needed to deliver the pages, such as your IP address, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. App Store links on the site carry a campaign name, so Apple can tell us in aggregate how many downloads came from the site. The site has no ads, no other analytics and no sign-in, and search runs in your browser.

When you contact us

If you email us, for example from Settings › Help › Contact Support, we receive your email address, your message and the technical details the app adds to it (app version and build number, OS version, device model and language). You can see and remove these details before you send. We use this only to answer you, and we delete it when you ask.

Deleting your data

Trash. Deleted areas, goals, habits, projects and tasks stay in Trash for 30 days so you can restore them. You can delete them permanently earlier. A task’s attachments and an area’s pictures are deleted with it.
Data on a device. Deleting Titanova from an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch removes everything Titanova kept on that device, including Health values it read, safety backups, settings for that device and crash reports. On a Mac, moving Titanova to the Trash can leave its data in your user Library; to remove it, also delete the folders named com.koksoft.titanova in ~/Library/Containers and group.com.koksoft.titanova in ~/Library/Group Containers.
Data in your iCloud. Deleting the app does not remove your synced data; it comes back if you reinstall. To remove it, delete Titanova from all your devices first, then open your device’s Settings, tap your name, then iCloud › Storage (or Manage Account Storage) › Titanova, and delete its data. This cannot be undone.
Files you saved. Backup and CSV files you exported are yours; delete them where you saved them.
Other apps. Data in Apple Health, Calendar and Reminders belongs to those apps and is not affected by deleting Titanova data. Events you created or changed in Titanova stay in Calendar.
Purchases. Your purchases stay with your Apple Account and can be restored after you reinstall.
Adapty profile. Your purchase profile at Adapty is not linked to your name or email, so we cannot look it up by who you are. If you want it deleted, write to us with the order ID from Apple’s purchase receipt email and we will ask Adapty to find and delete the profile that matches it. Without a matching order, we cannot tell which profile is yours.

How long data is kept

Your content stays in your iCloud until you delete it. Device-only data is removed when you delete the app. The Assistant’s chat is not kept at all. Adapty keeps purchase data as long as needed to provide purchases and as required by law, under its own policy. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you.

Children

Titanova is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal data about you, and to object to its use. Almost everything Titanova handles is on your devices and in your own iCloud, where you can see, export and delete it yourself. The only personal data we can reach is the purchase profile at Adapty and any email you send us. Where EU or UK law applies, we process that data to provide the purchases you make and, for purchase statistics, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the app. To exercise a right, write to us at the address below. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and mention significant changes in the app’s release notes.
