Track habits

Updated October 28, 2026

Create a habit

Tap New Habit and choose what you track:

  • Check: done or not.
  • Count: whole numbers, like 8 glasses.
  • Amount: any amount in a unit, like 2.5 km.
  • Time: with a timer, or typed as h:mm.

Then choose a direction:

  • Build to reach a target.
  • Limit to stay at or under it. Titanova shows what’s left for today.
  • Quit to stay at zero. Any log counts as a slip.

Choose a schedule that fits, for example a few days a week. Habits also come ready-made in Browse › Templates.

Log a habit

Tap a habit to check it off, or to add one step to a count or an amount. For other amounts, use Log…. Skip a day you planned to rest; a skipped day doesn’t break your streak.

See your week on one grid

In Habits, tap More (…) › Layout › Week. Every habit and every day of the week shows on one grid. Tap a day to log it, and move between weeks with the arrows. Choose Today to go back to the list.

Connect Apple Health

Open the habit and choose Apple Health, or go to Settings › Health › Link a Habit. Pick the data, like steps, workouts, sleep, water or mindful minutes, and a Daily Goal. The habit checks itself off when Health reaches it, and you can still log it yourself.

Titanova only reads Health data and never writes to it. Health data stays on your devices and is never synced or uploaded. On Mac, a Health habit shows “Tracked on iPhone”.

Let a habit move a goal

Link a habit to a goal, and each log adds to it. If the habit and the goal measure the same kind of thing, like miles and kilometers, the amount is converted. If not, each completed day adds 1. The goal’s What Counts section shows which rule applies.
